I have learnt about this technique from a book. It was very interesting and attracting me to try this technique.

Doesn't it look special? :)

One Layer Card #Week 180 - Hydrangea

"Less is More" one layer card Challenge# Week 180 is ''Adapt A Fingerprint''.

The first card is ''Orchids & yellow flowers''.

Here's another one! It is Hydrangea! * in LOVE shape too!

I used my fingertips to colour the petals and slid (horizontally) my finger on the card to colour the leaves.

I'm so happy to see the cards I have done! These are TOTALLY done with fingerprint!

One Layer Card #Week 180 - Orchids & yellow flowers

Challenge from "Less is More" for Week 180 is ''Adapt A Fingerprint''. It is very fun to challenge myself to think of different ideas of colouring with fingerprint.

I have made two cards with the theme of ''Flowers". Both are very suitable for Mother's Day!

The first card is Orchids and yellow flowers.

I have my full fingerprint for the three upper layer of Orchid petals whilst the bottom layer of the petals, I slid (vertically) my finger to make the end of the fingerprint sharp.
All the yellow flowers are coloured with my fingertip.

You may see another card via this link.

This is a challenge from "Less is More" -week 179.
"Less is More"

The first challenge for each month is colour challenge.
The challenge week 179 is
 Earth Tones.

This card would be suitable as Christmas card after I added a piece of fern leaf.
The fern leaf just looks like a Christmas tree.

CASology Challenge - Week 102: Float

This is the first time I join the challenge casology #week-102 which the cue word is "float".

I got an idea of Aladdin's magic carpet when I think about float (it's floating in the air). So, I made this card with the magic carpet as the main object.

I add "Farewell !" as the image shows on the card (just imagine) that someone is going to elsewhere on the magic carpet.

I have some other ideas about float, but I think this would be more special!

Wall Decoration

I have made this wall decoration for Chinese New Year. I got this idea from Pinterest.

I got the butterfly template from here.

And I made plum blossom using quilling method. Plum blossom is a sign of spring.

This is how it looks like on the wall.

Tsumami Kanzashi Hair Band

I saw the tutorial on Tsumami hair band from NHK TV programme. It was very attracting me to try it myself!

The fundamental materials are fabric and hair band.
I cut the fabric into ten pieces 1.5''*1.5'',
two circle cards with diameter 1.2" and 1.4" respectively, then cut two pieces of fabric a bit larger than the cards.

I used the needle to pock 4 holes to the smaller circle card to tie the flower to the hair band.

Wrap the card with the fabric and stick them together with hot glue.

Sew the smaller circle to the hair band tightly.

In order to make the hair band look nicer, stick a ribbon to cover the threads.

Then stick another circle on the small circle. This hair band can then be put aside for preparation.

Steps to make Chrysanthemum petals:

Steps to make Cherry Blossom petals:

Arrange and stick the cherry blossom petals on the hair band prepared.

Stick the chrysanthemum petals, each between the cherry blossom petals.

Stick a diamond at the middle of the flower.
